Wolves' chances of hanging on to Adama Traore have taken another twist, with reports that AC Milan are interested in him.

The 27 year old is out-of-contract after five years at Molineux and, although Wolves have said they would like to keep him, that seems less likely the longer the summer goes on without a deal being agreed.

Bookies stopped taking bets a couple of weeks ago on him becoming the latest high profile player to move to the Saudi Arabia Pro League. But now reports suggest Milan have got in touch with his agent Jorge Mendes. That’s according to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio who says Milan need a winger and contacted Mendes on Tuesday to ask about his availability.

Adama signed a five-year contract when he joined Wolves in 2018 from Middlesbrough but never extended that deal despite going on to play 194 games for the club.

Wolves need to bring in at least one wide player this summer, a need that will be made more acute if, as expected, Adama moves on. They have been linked with Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos, the 28 year old who only has a year left on his Sevilla contract.

He is well known to Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui who managed him at Sevilla but Fulham are also reportedly interested in the Argentine who can play as a wide forward, an attacking central midfielder or a number 10 and is rated at around £12.9m.
