Tom Wagner

Wagner is the owner of Shelby Companies and affiliate of Knighthead Capital Management LLC (Knighthead), who have completed the transactions with the majority owners of Birmingham City Football Club, including Birmingham Sports Holdings Limited (BSHL), following approval by the shareholders of BSHL.
Wagner is the co-founder of Knighthead Capital Management, which is said to focus on event-driven investing and distressed credit. He was previously managing director of Goldman, Sachs & Co.
He founded Knighthead Capital in 2008 along with business partner Ara Cohen. The business is based in New York and manages about €9 billion of assets.
