The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a major summer tour - and they have Weezer as their special guests. Best known for their songs Tonight, Tonight and 1979, the Smashing Pumpkins first hit the music scene back in 1988.

They have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and collected two Grammy awards, two MTV VMAs and an American Music Award. Now the alternative rock band is back and coming to Birmingham.

The tour launches in Birmingham at the Utilita Arena on Friday June 7, 2024 before going to London, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff. Tickets for The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer go on-sale to the general public at 10am on Friday October 20 via the Ticket Factory here. There's also the chance to get presale tickets from 10am on Thursday October 19 by signing up to the Ticket Factory presale access here.

In 2018, The Smashing Pumpkins enjoyed one of their 'most successful tours ever' to mark the release of their album Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future No Sun. They then released their 11th full length album CYR in 2020. And have, this year, released a rock opera in three acts called Atum.

Weezer is set to return to the UK following their stint on the Hella Mega sold out stadium tour, the release of their quartet of EPs SZNZ in 2022 and a massive sold out headline US tour. Having sold more than 35 million records worldwide since their debut album’s release in 1994, their catalogue includes hits like Buddy Holly and Island In The Sun.
