Samurai to Eskimo treasures as we go behind scenes at museum in pictures
Worcestershire Museums Collection Centre near Kidderminster holds priceless nostalgia gems of historic importance
Vintage signs to Cadbury chocolate giant gems are among some of the fascinating things to see at Worcestershire Museums Collection Centre in Hartlebury. A vast warehouse acts as an overflow to store the precious items found by archaeologists or donated over centuries.
This is where you'll find Elgar's table, an Eskimo's seal raincoat and even a Samurai suit of armour within its many shelves and thousands of items. We took a look around the Collection Centre with its manager and social historian David Nash.
Our photo gallery below shows the wide range of exhibits that can be seen on regular tours or privately arranged ones for groups like the WI, scouts or community organisations. Read more about what it is like behind the scenes in the museum here.
