Richard Madeley has supported wife Judy Finnigan over a touching milestone. The ITV Good Morning Britain star spoke out on Tuesday's show, which aired from 6am til 9am on 21 November, as he hosted alongside Susanna Reid during the second episode of the week.
The 67-year-old revealed he was celebrating a huge milestone with his wife Judy as the couple marked their 37th wedding anniversary. The couple married in 1986 and Richard revealed they had actually been together for a total of 40 years, including their relationship before marriage.
Susanna said: "I thought at the time, 'I bet you can top that' and today you do!" Richard said: "Today, yeah, I can't believe it actually... because it seems about 15 years but yeah it's my 37th wedding anniversary!", with Susanna replying: "Wow, congratulations Richard and Judy!"

Richard continued: "Actually, because we were together a few years before that, it's actually sort of 40 years of being under the same roof, which is just ridiculous!" Susanna joked: "Long service medals all round... or just for Judy!", with Richard quipping: "I think just for Judy, yeah!"
Discussing what he has planned, Richard said: "Going to a posh dinner, thank you very much!" Richard was just 21 when he married Lynda and he has since admitted that the marriage was a mistake. The stars were both previously married and Richard has been honest about his past affairs, the Daily Record reports. He admitted he cheated while he was married to first wife Lynda Hooley, before he met Judy.
Speaking about his past affairs before falling in love with Judy, Richard told the Mirror: "Oh lots, numerous, probably in the space of about five years, about 10. Although the marriage had some very happy moments, there was a lot of negativity in it. I'm not using that as an excuse. It's wrong to have affairs, but I was a very young man."
