West Midlands Police have urged motorists to be 'courteous' after a number of parked cars caused 'obstruction' to people living in part of Dudley. A number of residents were affected in the Brierley Hill and Pensnett area of Dudley.
Notices were handed out by officers warning that parked vehicles had caused an 'obstruction'. The advisory notices that prosecutions would not take place 'this time' however motorists were urged to read the information.
In a statement issued on X/Twitter, Brierley Hill Police said: "Residents of the Pensnett/Brierley Hill are politely reminded to be courteous when parking their cars outside people’s home addresses. Officers from BH 3 have been out on mobile patrol today in the area to prevent this happening further."

The police notice warned in capital letters 'DON'T PLONK IT, PARK IT!'. A message further down read: "Your vehicle has been parked causing an obstruction. We will not be prosecuting on this occasion but please take some time to read this advisory notice."
It comes as a new survey found that 48% of residents living in the UK have reported having parking problems with a neighbour. Further analysis of the survey found that 35% of homeowners feel they compete for parking spaces with their neighbours. Read the full story here.
