An official opening date has been revealed by YouTubers The Sidemen for their Merry Hill chicken shop. Sides will open at the shopping centre on Saturday, November 18, the social media collective's first branch outside of London.

The Sidemen has a combined 130 million subscribers on YouTube as well as millions more on other platforms. The collective includes KSI who has already achieved commercial success with his viral sports drink Prime.

The 3,000 square foot space will seat around 90 covers while creating 40 jobs at Merry Hill. The restaurant will serve double-coated chicken that is 'crispy and full of flavour' as well as meat-free options.

The restaurant will open at 6pm at Merry Hill, six and a half hours after the Dalston high street location opens its doors for the first time in London. Chicken fans will be able to choose from seven different sauces to accompany the wings, tenders and burgers.

When Sides was announced for Merry Hill, centre manager Jonathan Poole, commented: "Sides is a very exciting addition to the vibrant and growing mix of restaurants, cafes and everything Eat Central has to offer too. We know this will be a new favourite among our shoppers and we’re delighted one of the first Sides restaurants in the UK is opening at Merry Hill.

"The centre is rapidly changing, offering shoppers unrivalled convenience plus more and more experiences. The options for how our visitors spend time with us is expanding considerably, and the welcoming of Sides closely follows the openings of Starbucks, Wagamama and Hollywood Bowl."

Robin Mehta, Sides CEO, added: "Opening the first location of Sides outside of London is massive for all of us. The growth of Sides has been a proud moment and we’re really excited about the space at Merry Hill.

"Here at Sides we like to say that people will come in for the hype, but they'll come back for the food and we’re looking forward to seeing this in action in the West Midlands."
