McDonald's customers have said "Christmas is ruined" after realising a popular product had been pulled from restaurants. McDonald's fans have said "it's devastating" after it emerged a festive classic is MISSING from menus ahead of the Christmas season and New Year.

McDonald's launched its festive menu earlier this week. It includes five new items, like the big and cheesy burger and Galaxy Caramel pie - but there's no festive pie, the fast food giant confirmed. "No festive pie? Christmas is ruined?", one customer wrote on social media.

"No festive pie this year? Boooo," said a second. "Woke up to the devastating news that there will be no festive pie offered by McDonald's this year," another moaned. "You have ruined Christmas." The new menu will be available from next week on November 22, McDonald's has confirmed.

But anybody wanting to grab a taste of the new items is told to move fast. The products will be on sale until January 3, when they are removed for another menu shake-up. McDonald's says it is bringing the The Big & Cheesy £5.49 - (single) / £7.29 (meal) to menus as part of the Christmas launch.

It will also be launching The Big & Cheesy with Bacon £6.29 - (single) / £8.09 (meal) and Chicken Big Mac £4.79 - (single) / £6.59 (meal). McDonald's says its customers can also get their hands on the Cheese Melt Dippers with Rich Tomato Dip - £2.59 (single) / £6.89 (sharebox).

There's also a McDonald's Chicken Combo £14.99, the chain says. And while you can't get the festive pie this year, the fast food giant says it is making up for it by launching two sweet treats in the form of the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry - £1.49 (mini) / £1.99 (regular) and Galaxy Caramel McFlurry - £1.49 (mini) / £1.99 (regular).

There's also the Galaxy Caramel Pie, priced at £1.99.
