Martin Lewis has issued a swipe at Boots after a "cheeky" Black Friday e-mail. The pharmacy giant had written to the ITV This Morning and Good Morning Britain star's Money Saving Expert team in the wake of his last ITV The Martin Lewis Money Show, where he teased offers.

"Just something I wanted to mention to you," the chemist said. "On last week's show, when Martin was talking about Boots have some great Black Friday deals, he said: "Obviously you won't get any discounts on Viagra." But funnily enough we do actually. We have a Viagra Black Friday deal available online. Viagra is 15 per cent off - details are below. Just wondered if Martin might be interested."

Martin shared a screengrab of the email and wrote: "How cheeky are Boots! Email sent to my researcher Eesha. What a bleedin' liberty..." Matt Lloyd said in response: "You should issue a cerection." Stu said: "Seems like boots is Standing Up for their customers. They know they have Stiff competition.

" They have an uplifting sale on at the moment They are clearly erecting some great sales." Matt said: "The only time to promote a reduction on a booster" Dan said: "Well, we're going though hard times and if a stiff drink isn't enough you might want to stand up and erect a totem pole to applaud Boots for taking the hard decision to lose profit on a firm profit maker."

"Clearly just trying to get a "rise" out of you," Sean said. Leslie wrote: "Yes cheeky but free publicity for boots, cheeky but clever." Boots has kicked off its Black Friday deals early, promising this November’s major shopping event to be its ‘biggest ever’. The health and beauty retailer has over 21,000 lines available to shop, and will be spreading their offers across the full four weeks throughout the month.
