Martin Lewis has issued a warning to Sainsbury's shoppers and said "some" customers are affected. Mr Lewis, who hosts The Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV, spoke out on Twitter/X over Sainsbury's bringing back its Nectar Double-Up points promotion - but only for some customers.

"Nectar has brought back double up points... for some...," he wrote on Friday. The scheme is back til November 24 with tens of thousands of shoppers eligible - but not all cardholders. Mandi replied on the social media platform by saying: "I’m lucky enough to have got this. Used it to buy expensive items like dishwasher tabs and washing pods.

" For those who didn’t get it, the next time they do, you’ll probably get it and I won’t. That’s how they’ve done other promotions." Linda fumed: "Would like to know what criteria is, I haven't got the offer and shop weekly. So much for loyalty." Nick said: "Nothing ! - but I do have 5x points if I spend £110 this weekend . . ."

Sarah said: "Hmm - I’m an avid Nectar point collector & have used Double Up every time it’s been offered but I haven’t got Power Up. Wonder what their criteria for choosing who’d get it was. My brand loyalty is being severely tested as our local Sainsburys has real stock/empty shelf issues."

Alex typed: "Mega, thanks for the heads up! £50 turned into £100 with no effort :)" Sue said: "Used mine today, first time I've had the offer! Got £20 off my shopping, happy days!" Alison commented: "Thank you! Never heard of this, and was pleased to discover I was eligible. Cheers, MSE."

Rob said: "Pretty annoyed I don't have it as a nectar card holder and holder of Sainsbury's nectar credit card!" And Kieron moaned: "Yeah unfortunately not mine."
