Martin Lewis has issued a four-day warning ahead of losing "100 per cent" of your money. The ITV This Morning and Good Morning Britain star has led the warnings ahead of Black Friday, which takes place on Friday November 24 this year, in a huge shopping bonanza.

Taking to Twitter/X, Money Saving Expert founder and consumer champion Martin wrote: "My Black Friday Shopping Memo - If you were going to buy it anyway and it’s half price you’ve SAVED 50% - If you weren’t going to buy it, but do it ‘cos it’s half price, you’ve WASTED 100% Feel free to share."

Replying to Mr Lewis, a follower said: "You are being scammed again, Martin. Let right and center on Facebook. But I guess you know this already again." Mr Lewis replied: "I do. And its not me being scammed, it's vulnerable people. I have little I can do though apart from ask peopel to report to facebook and hope the Online Safety Bill measures kick in soon :("

Simon said: "They should print this on sale labels like warnings on tobacco :)" Ruth said: "I keep saying this: a third bullet point is needed. If you have a specific budget for an item you were going to buy anyway, and now that it’s half price it’s within that budget, you’ve just been sensible."

"I saw a playstation 5 on amazon on Friday just gone, during black Friday, I thought to myself do I really want this. can I afford it. no for both answers," said another. Jayne typed: "I need some new prescription glasses. Been hanging on. Hoping to find a good discount, however it could take days to do a price comparison. I’m sure many people would appreciate any pointers."

"- if you weren’t going to buy it, buy buy it anyway because it’s half price, and buy it using a loan, you’ve wasted 200% If the maths are too hard, it’s like this… your going to be totally skint forever with nothing to show for a life time of hard work," Peter said. Bernard said: "Martin, you know that's not going to cut any ice with the ladies!."
