Martin Lewis says it's a "big message" as he issued a Black Friday warning to shoppers. The ITV The Martin Lewis Money Show star spoke out on his programme last Tuesday, ahead of Black Friday on November 24, with shoppers flocking online to buy goods during the annual shopping bonanza.
Martin said: "The big Black Friday message for you, I am gonna give you this, my Black Friday shopping memo. If you were going to buy it anyway, and it's half price, you've saved 50%. If you weren't going to buy it, but do it because its half price, it's cost you 100%. So be careful."
Replying to the BBC Sounds star on Twitter/X, a fan wrote: "Already determined what my kids main presents for Xmas are. Keeping an eye out for good deals on those but most importantly, checking the price history! Price history is crucial to knowing if you're actually getting a deal or not."

Vick said: "Agree. I had two 4K films in my Amazon basket for months. Now they were both 30% less, so I bought them." Andrew said: "Best advice from another money saving expert many years ago was this regards buying clothes. If you buy an expensive jacket let’s say £200. It cost £200 if you wear it once. But if you wear it 10 times it only cost £20. My £80 coat from 1995 still gets worn now"
Vic said: "My Black Friday shopping memo - the majority offers are a scam. Plus Black Friday should be a don’t buy anything day." Farsight Finance warned: "This is so important. I've seen a few people respond to your memo with "ignore this, live like it's your last day on Earth". Incredibly dangerous mindset.
