A man was injured in a suspected street stabbing in broad daylight this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to Kingswood Road in Longbridge today, Tuesday, November 7.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic rushed to the scene just after noon. He was taken to hospital.

The man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Police inquiries were ongoing.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12.10pm to reports of a stabbing on Kingswood Road, Birmingham. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.

“Upon arrival we found a man with non-life threatening injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene and was conveyed to hospital for further assessment.”
