The Princess of Wales is one of the most famous faces in the world. Known to most as Kate Middleton, Prince William's wife is often referred to by her nickname.

Her real name is Catherine - which is what almost all members of the Royal Family call her. But her name reportedly caused a clash with her father-in-law King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla at one point.

According to Prince Harry, there was once a suggestion she should change her moniker's spelling. In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry wrote about how the now King and Queen apparently wanted Kate to spell her real name Catherne with a K instead of a C.

Prince Harry explained that this was because there were already two royal cyphers with the letter C in them - and they didn't want them to be another, MirrorOnline reports. Writing in Spare, he said: "There were already two royal cyphers with a C and a crown above: Charles and Camilla.

"It would be too confusing to have another. Make it Katherine with a K, they suggested. I wondered now what came of that suggestion." Recalling the moment he and William learned of the proposal, Harry added: "I turned to Willy, gave him a look that said 'You listening to this?' His face was blank."

But the request was never fulfilled. Kate is even said to enjoy a warm relationship with both Charles and Camilla.

Kate's Shaping Us campaign, which launched in January, aims to highlight the importance of early childhood and influence attitudes towards how a child's early years shape the adult they become.

She is also set to host the first The Shaping Us campaign. This is intended to improve society's understanding of the importance of early childhood in shaping adulthood and society as a whole.

Kate previously said 'it is more important than ever' to support generations of youngsters so they can realise their full potential. The campaign has the support of a number of notable faces, including musician Professor Green, Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott and footballer Leah Williamson.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said the importance of early years development will be a 'key focus' for Kate for the 'rest of her life'.
