This Morning TV chef James Martin concerned fans as he gave an unexpected update on his social media channels - that left them all saying the same thing. Fresh from a UK tour that stopped off at Birmingham Symphony Hall and London Palladium, the 50-year-old sounded like he was bubbling with excitement in his post.

Yorkshireman Martin had previously told fans that after his tour he would be taking a break following a difficult period of being treated for facial cancer. But that seemed to change in his latest update on Instagram.

The chef, who hosts Saturday Morning with James Martin on ITV and runs Worcestershire Grill restaurant at the Cotswolds' Lygon Arms, took a photo of his well-known studio kitchen that features every weekend, packed with celebrity guests.

It had a film studio clapperboard along with a bountiful amount of food of meat, carrots and other vegetables lined up plus what looked like a stew or hot pot boiling away. You can see the post below.

Martin commented alongside it: "We’re back! Full day filming Saturday With James Martin and to the local for one." It was followed by a beer emoji.

But that confused many as Martin's UK tour has now ended and they were expecting him to lie low and now work for a while. Over a 100 fans rushed to message the chef this week.

Fan Carol King was quick to respond with: "I thought you were supposed to be taking time off to get better James or are you still on a high after your amazing tour. Take care of yourself."

Mandy Freeman quickly added: "I was thinking the same." While Janet Heathfield echoed their thoughts with: "I thought you were meant to be taking it easy, James sending love."

Mandy Hills warned the chef: "Get yourself better, we will still be here once you’re fighting fit." Jason Mayhew agreed adding: "You don’t stop boss!!"

It was during Martin's tour date in Birmingham that the chef got emotional while revealing that his Saturday morning show had been extended for another year by ITV bosses. It means Martin will be busy creating more recipes and interviewing celebrity guests for a new season of shows.

But then weeks after, he said he needed a rest and time to recuperate after the difficulties he'd faced with his health issues.
