Hidden gems of Birmingham you can find if you look hard enough

We pass them all the time and the 'hidden gems' of Brum

You could be walking down a Birmingham street and pass a glacial bolder formed 450 million years ago or an ice sheet from the stone age. Sure, you wouldn't know - because you aren't an anorak - but the BirminghamLive in-house anorak is here to let you know.

We previously listed some Brummie hidden gems you could pass by any day, and we are back with more. There is a whole host of hidden history to discover in our city and we like to hunt them out.

Right on our door step there are fantastic treasures of history and we can miss them in a blink of an eye as we go past, and yet they have a rich history to tell. These include glacial bounders swept down from Snowdon during the ice age and landing in Northfield. Or strange tales of Queen Boudicca in Kings Norton possibly ending up under the McDonald's in Kings Norton.
