The countdown is officially on. Christmas is nearly here in Birmingham city centre - whether we're ready for it, or not.

Yes there's just two weeks to go until the Birmingham German Christmas Market rolls into town. And the preparations are already underway as you can see here.

Whether you're meeting up with friends for a Christmas drink, or looking to pick up a gift for loved ones, there will be something for everyone to get into festive spirit. But when does the market start? And how long is it here for?

Poll: Will you be visiting the Birmingham German Christmas Market in 2023?

It has been confirmed that the Birmingham German Christmas Market will open to the public on Thursday, November 2, from 11am. On the first day, the market will close at 9pm.

In a change from previous years, there will be different opening hours for various days for the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market this year. You can find out all about the different opening hours here.

The full opening dates for this year's market are Thursday, November 2, until Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24. That means we'll get just over seven weeks, or 53 days, to enjoy the city's iconic market!
