The Cathedral Square Christmas market launched today (Tuesday, November 15) and it is better than ever. With an open wood-burning fire hearth on which to toast marshmallows near the stand serving turkey carvery rolls, every part of it smells just like Christmas.

You can find a full list of vendors here if you're interested in seeing what you can expect before you go. In this story, we're sharing a little bit more about the food and drink on offer, plus prices so you have a good idea of how much to budget if you fancy treating yourself.

Many of the vendors we visited have natty payment machines so you can settle your bill easily and the service was really excellent, with a cheery festive spirit! Here's what to expect.
