Rock band Elbow have confirmed their return with a huge UK tour in 2024 - including a show in Birmingham. The tour will coincide with the release of the band's 10th studio album.

It will be Elbow's first arena tour since 2018. They will perform at Resorts World Arena on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Tickets will be available on general sale from 10am on Friday, October 27, through The Ticket Factory. A pre-sale for The Ticket Factory members will start at 10am on Thursday, October 26, while those who pre-order a limited edition of the new album can get tickets from 10am on Wednesday, October 25.

Lead singer Guy Garvey said: "We love the intimacy of theatres, but we have some very big songs and the electricity of 20,000 people singing along cannot be denied. So, the big rooms it is and big shows they will be. Can’t wait to see everybody again."

Their new album will be released in March. Elbow's previous nine studio albums have seen them amass a host of awards, including a BRIT, a Mercury prize, and multiple Ivor Novello songwriting awards. After performing at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony the band were granted the freedom of their hometown of Bury.

Fans are able to register for a ticket pre-sale for the tour from Friday, October 20, by pre-ordering a special limited edition of the new album from www.elbow.co.uk. That pre-sale will then go live on Wednesday, October 25, from 10am.

The Ticket Factory pre-sale will get underway from 10am on Thursday, October 26, for the Birmingham. While general sale tickets for the tour will be available via The Ticket Factory and Ticketmaster from 10am on Friday, October 27.
