An event showcasing opportunities in the construction sector is taking place next week.

It is aimed at those aged 16 to 29 who are looking to enter the sector and wish to find out more about the jobs and career paths available.

It is being held from 12pm to 3pm on Wednesday March 29 in the 'Job Box' at Library of Birmingham, in Centenary Square.

Among the partners for the event is the Ladder for Greater Birmingham campaign which is creating thousands of apprenticeships in Birmingham and Solihull by connecting job seekers up with employers and training providers.

What is the Ladder for Greater Birmingham?

The Ladder for Greater Birmingham campaign launched in summer 2018 with the aim of creating new apprenticeships in Birmingham and Solihull by bringing candidates and training providers together with employers.

We have been supporting the project from day one as media partner and organiser of our annual apprenticeship awards in partnership with the Ladder.

Other stakeholders include Vine Trust, Performance Through People, Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP, Birmingham and Solihull Training Provider Network and West Midlands Combined Authority.
