Cadbury shoppers have been left devastated after it emerged the "best chocolate bar they’ve EVER made" was being axed. Cadbury shoppers have responded on Twitter, X, saying "that sucks" after their favourite bar was discontinued by the Bournville-based chocolate maker.

The chocolate maker has now scrapped its Peanut Caramel Crisp Bar. A spokesperson said: "Peanut Caramel Crisp Bars have been discontinued. However, we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try." In reply to the news, a shopper wrote: "Aw no! That sucks, it's our favourite."

"Cadbury's Peanut Caramel Crisp is the best chocolate bar they have created in years," fumed a second. "Kind of like Dairy Milk meets Reese's Peanut Butter Cups." The bar was launched back in April 2017 and at the time, Cadbury's Katrina Davison said: "The UK is going nuts for nuts.

"We have once again made sure our fans can enjoy their favourite chocolate with a new taste and texture experience they will love. The Big Taste range is all about generous layers and textures. Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste Peanut Caramel Crisp is the perfect example of why they’re so great to share."

Pledge said in a gushing online review: "This stuff should be illegal! It’s simply delicious but addictive. My new favourite bar but trouble is I can’t control myself and end up scoffing the whole massive bar!" Honest said: "Amazing chocolate. Has soft, chewy, creamy and crunchy textures on the inside - tastes like a proper premium product.

"The peanut butter textures are nice and sweet, but not overly so. The chocolate is standard Dairy Milk and obviously, no complaints there. Goes hand in hand with peanut butter!" Richi asked: "This tastes … weird. Has Cadbury's new owner finally changed the formulation of the chocolate?

"I know it mucked about with Creme Eggs, but not the bars. Until now?"
