A BBC Strictly Come Dancing body language expert has called on Bobby Brazier to "support" Dianne Buswell after her tears on the show this weekend. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton said pro dancer Dianne displayed ‘genuine tears’ as she ‘needed support’ from ‘disappointed’ Bobby.

He said: "Bobby and Dianne also slipped behind this week. They’re definitely feeling the pressure. This week has been very telling for a lot of the couples and could be make or break for them going forward. Bobby often pulls off some amazing moves and takes a lot of risks in his routines. It will have been a shock for him to be in a bad position this week, including being in the dance off.

"He displayed a lot of disappointment in his eyes and body language when engaging with Dianne. They knew they didn’t perform to their full potential, but they were definitely relieved to be saved by the judges. When Dianne was crying, it was genuine, she was very overcome with emotion.

"It’s clear she was overwhelmed and needed support from Bobby.” The pair were the first to dance during Saturday's episode and performed a jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham! Brazier, 20, sported a bright blue suit while Buswell, 34, donned a yellow frilly dress.

Head judge Shirley Ballas told Brazier: "You brought everything to this dance. I'm so proud of you." Meanwhile, Craig Revel Horwood received boos from the audience when he said the dance was a "bit stompy". The judges awarded the duo 35 points following the dance, recorded live from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

They later found themselves in the bottom two - but were saved by the judges, who opted to send home Angela Rippon instead. Rippon said: "I have to tell you that the last nine weeks have probably been the most terrifying, the most fantastic, the most glorious, the most joyful that I have spent for a very long time in my profession.

"I have had the time of my life, people keep making reference to the fact that I presented Come Dancing, but that was 40 years ago, that was a different time!"
