Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller is the subject of transfer interest from Premier League clubs including Aston Villa, it has been claimed.

The 17-year-old came through the ranks at the Scottish Premiership outfit and made his senior debut in August of last year at just 16 years of age. He made the breakthrough to first-team this season, playing 14 games in all competitions before suffering a broken patella earlier this month.

According to teamTALK, Villa, Tottenham, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and West Ham are all claimed to have been "watching him on a regular basis" before his injury. Miller is regarded as one of the most promising youth players and has also been subject of interest from both Rangers and Celtic.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglu has remained interested in Miller after one of his senior appearances came against the Aussie coach's former side Celtic.

Miller has also made his debut at international level, representing Scotland under-19s four times. The youngster has recently signed a one-year contract which will see him at the club until the summer of 2026.

Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell has been pleased with his development. He said: "He’s already ticked off a few important milestones in his young career but for him to know his future is here, gives him good security going forward. It’s very easy for players to get 13 starts at young ages in the modern game and to think the next chapter could be something different.

"It’s important he’s in a place to develop and I believe he’s an example to young modern players to not get too eager for the next opportunity. It comes naturally when you do good things. It’s a proper feel good factor for the football club as a whole and I look forward to seeing Lennon back on the pitch."
