ITV This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has broken her silence on quitting the show for a role on a rival. Big Brother legend Alison has discussed the possibility of joining the Loose Women panel, with the daytime TV favourite airing each weekday from 12.30pm on ITV.

She told this week’s Woman’s Own: “I’d love to do Loose [Women| – I’d do any programme. I’ve done most of them!” She went on: “I love my job and I’m good at it. But I’ve always got plans, things I want to do next. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked for my own show.

"That’s what I want, a show called Alison. It might get to the point where I just make it myself!” The Great British Bake Off host Alison previously appeared on ITV Loose Women in 2002 and 2004 as a guest panelist and recently joined the ladies on their recent tour, alongside other special guests too.

Taking to social media to reveal the news, Alison said in a video posted on Loose Women's official Instagram page: "Hi everyone! I've just seen that Josie has announced that she is doing the Loose Women tour. So I thought you know what, I've got to get in on this, do you know what I mean? I've got some stories to share.

"I am announcing right here and now that I am going to be at the Palladium on the 18th, it's a Monday, make sure you're there. I'm very excited, I'm going to share all my stories with you – well not all of them just a few, really good ones – and I can't wait to spend some time with the Loose Women – and with you!

"So I hope you come and join us. Lots of love, bye babs!"
