Step aboard The Magical Santa Express this Christmas for an enchanting journey to the home of the big man himself.

The popular attraction, near Tamworth, will be welcoming Santa, Mrs Claus and elves from next month and - with plenty of fun activities for the little ones - promises to be the best yet.

Write that present wish list and pop it into Santa’s magical postbox, decorate cookies with Mrs Claus, make a special snack to put out for the reindeer, and enjoy the thrill of a beautifully illuminated train for your journey to the North Pole.

The Magical Santa Express tends to be a sell-out, so it’s a good idea to get your tickets early - check availability here.

Here we take a look at the wonders of The Magical Santa Express.

1. The Magical Express Train

Hop aboard this train for an unforgettable round trip on Statfold County Park’s acclaimed railway. This extraordinary journey begins with your departure to the North Pole. Choose an after-dark ride and you’ll see the train beautifully lit up - it’s pure magic.

2. Meet Santa

Yes, the big man is back in his grotto and ready to welcome you and your children - before the serious business of delivering presents on Christmas Eve. The ideal time for a word in his ear about that dream gift.

Santa has been making regular appearances at Statfold Country Park to check things are in order for the big day

3. Mrs Claus' Bakery

Whilst Santa’s making wishes come true, Mrs Claus is hard at work in her bakery - and you can be one of her helpers. Decorate cookies (there are plenty of sprinkles and delicious treats to stick on them) and then take your treats home in a little goody bag.

4. Santa's Toy Shop

Naturally, your little one is on Santa’s nice list so the big man's elves will lead you to his toy shop to collect a special toy to take home.

5. Rudolph's Snack Hut

Bring the magic in a snack to keep Santa's Reindeer sprightly on their flight across the globe on Christmas Eve. Prepare the treat and place it outside before you go to bed.

6. So many fun things to enjoy

The magic doesn’t end there. Listen to the singing reindeer as you leave the train, enjoy a vintage swing chair ride and virtual reality sleigh ride.

Come face-to-face with Father Christmas and his trusty helpers

7. Festive feasts

No Christmas adventure is complete without a little festive feast. Whether it’s light bites, a full dinner, or a sweet treat, there’ll be something for everybody. That’s not all - when you arrive, you’ll be greeted with mince pies, mulled wine (adults only), and hot chocolate!

8. Toby's Barn: Soft Play

For just £4.50 per child, children can let off steam in Toby's Barn: Soft Play. With three tiers full of different obstacles themed around the railway. Soft play is very popular so make sure to book in advance to guarantee your space.

9. Retro Roller Disco
